SAFETY ENGINEERING

SILVER ATENA specialise in the safety aspects of complex systems for the aerospace, rail, automotive and defence domains. Working throughout the lifecycle we help ensure our clients follow process and produce artefacts that meet their safety goals.

SILVER ATENA provides a wide range of safety engineering services, covering safety management, system, hardware and software-safety engineering and independent safety assessment.

Our consultants aid our clients in achieving project completion by:

• Developing safety plans
• Conducting hazard analyses (e.g. FTA, FMEA, FMEDA, FMECA)
• Derivation of safety requirements
• Conducting safety V&V
• Developing safety cases

• Aerospace: RTCA DO-254 / DO-160 / DO-178B
• Railway: CENELEC EN 50126
• Defence: Defence Standard 00-56

Since 2007, SILVER ATENA has been an associated member of CETREN (Associates Group VI Consulting and Engineering Companies), which combines approximately 70 Spanish companies linked to the Rail sector.

CETREN is a notified body (D.O.C.E. Nº C129 dated 30 April 2001) for Technical Specifications of Interoperability (TSI) of High Speed Rail Systems, plus other EU regulated railway aspects not referred to in the TSI and that are common to both conventional and high speed rail systems.

The technical competence is not only related to rolling stock but also to infrastructure, track, electrification, rail traffic control-command, signalling and telecommunications. CETREN is a member of NB Rail.
