What is a Flight Control Computer (FCC)?

The Silver Atena Universal FCC (Flight Control Computer) is a powerful avionics computer for the highly automated control of manned and unmanned small aircraft, drones, and helicopters. 

Thanks to numerous interfaces, the FCC can be flexibly integrated into a wide variety of avionics architectures. In single-channel operation, it operates as a fail-silent system, but can easily be expanded to a fully redundant fail-operational system. 

The FCC is ideal for safety-critical applications such as attitude control, autopilot, autothrottle, and mission management – ​​with maximum reliability and computing power.

Features

The Universal FCC meets the highest requirements for data integrity and reliability thanks to intelligent monitoring. Designed as a single-channel fail-silent system, it can be easily expanded to a fully redundant fail-operational system using a dual setup. Modern processors and external RAM/Flash memory enable real-time processing of sophisticated algorithms. Model-based software development ensures flexibility in application design. The compact housing with side connectors facilitates integration and cable routing. Designed according to RTCA DO-178C/DO-254 (DAL B) and DO-160G for harsh environmental conditions.
