What is a High-Voltage Traction Inverter?

Our inverters for controlling electric motors form the central control unit of the electric powertrain. They impress with their exceptional energy efficiency, compact design, and maximum reliability – even under extreme conditions in axle drives. Developed for use in 400 V and 800 V electrical systems, our traction inverters are ideally suited for modern electric vehicles and hybrid applications – including commercial vehicles.

Whether as an add-on or integrated solution, the inverters can be flexibly integrated into various vehicle architectures and offer maximum performance in a minimal installation space. Thanks to state-of-the-art silicon (Si) and silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor technology, our systems achieve particularly high efficiencies across virtually the entire operating range – crucial for long driving ranges.
